Fried Plantains

Fried Plantains Haitian Style By Lisa Anand


  1. Raw Plantain – 1 kg
  2. Oil – 400 gms for deep frying

For Dip, mix together

  1. Green coriander paste – 5 table spoons
  2. Olive oil – 2 tablespoon
  3. Garlic paste – 1 Teaspoon
  4. Onion paste – 1 Teaspoon
  5. Salt – to taste


Peel raw plantain and cut into 2 inch slices. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the plantains till slightly browned. Remove from heat and press into discs and refry till crisp on the outside. Serve with coriander dip.
