Peach Syrup by Just Manners
- Water – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Peaches – 6, peeled, pitted and chopped fine
- Juice of one lemon
In a medium saucepan, stir together water, sugar, lemon juice and peaches. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 25 minutes.
Strain peaches from syrup mixture and let cool completely before using. Store in the refrigerator.
The same recipe with the fruit pureed into the liquid will give you a delicious Peach Sauce.
