Shopping List For Your Party
What are the supplies and quantities that you should buy for your party?
Of course that depends on the number of items on your menu and the number of guests. The proportions will change depending on the number of people: if more people, then reduce the amounts slightly and if fewer, increase it slightly!
For an Indian menu, broadly cater for 150 gms per person of meats and 150 gms of vegetables (which includes 25 gms of paneer), 10 gms of lentils, 2/3 rotis and 2 tablespoons of uncooked rice, 2 tablespoons or about 20 gms of dahi. And add another 200 gms of meat and vegs to the total for the left-overs!
For western meals you should cater for at least 250 gms of meat per person.
Do remember though, it’s always better to have too much food rather than too little.
