Sugar syrup or ‘chaashni’ is made in different concentrations.
The Simple Sugar Syrup is equal parts of water and sugar boiled till the sugar dissolves. The combinations can be changed to get a thinner sugar syrup or a thicker syrup. Normally a thicker syrup will last longer.
A thicker syrup is better when you want to sweeten a drink or a dessert without diluting the flavors.
To a basic sugar syrup of the consistency that you like, you can add a variety of flavours which can add that something extra to cocktails and desserts.
