Steamed Fish

Haitian Steamed Fish by Lisa Anand

Ingredients

  1. Fish – 1 kg, boneless, cut in 1 inch pieces
  2. Hot sauce – 2 Tablespoon
  3. Oil – 2 Tablespoons
  4. Onion – 2 chopped fine
  5. Garlic – 5 cloves, chopped
  6. Red bell pepper – 2, chopped
  7. Parsley and thyme – 1 Tablespoon chopped
  8. Lemon juice – 1 Tablespoon
  9. Salt, pepper – to taste

Method

Salt the fish and marinate it in the hot sauce. Add pepper to the marinade.

Heat oil in a pan. Sauté the chopped ingredients till soft. Place fish over the sautéed mixture and cover till done.
